Shift Available: Wednesday - Saturday, 5am-3pm

Compensation

We’ll pay you an hourly rate of up to $24.00 per hour, dependent on experience.

About the Job

We need you to fill the role of Security Officer – Level III. This is a full-time, non-exempt level position.

The following shift is available:

Wednesday - Saturday, 5am-3pm


Hours may vary and schedule may include holidays and weekends and occasional overtime will be required. You’ll wow us by masterfully performing the following key duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide protection for the campus property and visitors.
  • Manage and control campus access in accordance with campus polices.
  • Provide assistance to visitors, members, and staff.
  • Conduct patrols, perform specified tasks related to campus opening/closing.
  • Operate security cameras, alarms, and related systems· Maintain order, promote safety and security, and enforce campus policies.
  • Maintain awareness of campus activities and facilitate programming.
  • Recognize and respond to suspicious activities and security/safety concerns.
  • Read and write accurate reports and complete daily administrative tasks.
  • Communicate information and provide instruction during and after an emergency.
  • Administer first aid to injured persons.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with staff, campus partners, event hosts, and program operators.
  • Manage and solve problems using reasoning and judgement.

Requirements

  • Applicants must have a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Higher education is preferred, but not required.
  • Must maintain a minimum of a Level III Security Officer License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau.
  • Maintain a current Basic Life Saving (BLS) certification that includes CPR, First Aid, and AED.
  • Maintain a valid Driver’s License and have reliable transportation.
  • Stand for long periods without break.
  • Walk and run moderate distances.
  • Maintain sufficient strength and agility to manage emergency situations.
  • Lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
  • Pass all required criminal history background checks (which may, depending on the position you are hired for, include an FBI fingerprint check).
