Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.85 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, and restricted areas in accordance with site protocols, helping to support orderly operations within the location.
• Assist with de-escalation, directions, and general assistance for patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining awareness of security-related conditions and reporting issues promptly.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must be able to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Must be able to work in or around a hospital morgue.
• Must be able to restrain individuals in accordance with site protocols.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
