Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Act 235 Patrol in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a professional environment. Pay Rate: $34.00 / Hour

  • 21+ Years of Age (C101)Candidates must be at least 21 years old at the time of application. This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with legal and organizational standards.
  • Act 235 Qualification (Pennsylvania Only) (C134)Candidates applying for positions in Pennsylvania must possess a valid Act 235 certification. This certification is essential for individuals who will be carrying firearms or performing duties that require such qualifications.
  • 2+ Years' Law Enforcement/Military Police/Corrections Experience (C140)Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in law enforcement, military police, or corrections. This experience is critical to ensure that candidates have the necessary skills and background to perform effectively in their roles.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience (B201)Candidates should have prior experience with access control systems and badge management. This includes familiarity with issuing, tracking, and managing access badges for employees and visitors.
  • Armed Guard Card/License (B203)Candidates applying for security-related positions must possess a valid armed guard card or license as required by state regulations. Proof of certification must be provided during the application process.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet (B204)Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in using computers or tablets for daily tasks. This includes the ability to navigate software applications, manage emails, and utilize digital communication tools effectively.
  • Customer Service Experience (B219)Candidates should have a background in customer service, showcasing their ability to interact positively with clients and resolve issues efficiently. Relevant experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and/or maintenance issues.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, helping to support controlled entry to restricted areas.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel.
  • Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
  • Possess an Act 235 qualification in Pennsylvania.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
