Job Title: Security Officer
Employment Type: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift: Evening Shift including weekend rotation

As a Security Officer you will:
The Security Officer is responsible for the security of hospital employees, patients/families, visitors, and property. Is responsible for fire prevention and initial response measures. Maintains safety practices in the area of his/her assignment.
Position requires the ability to read, write and speak the English language in an understanding manner and be able to follow written and oral instructions. Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action. Possess the ability to deal tactfully with co-workers, patients and visitors. Perform alone or as a team member in the management of aggressive or violent behavior through non-abusive physical intervention.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prior security experience preferred.
Prior hospital security experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED required
Valid driver's license with a safe driving record required.
