As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Rover in Birmingham, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, public agency representatives, and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit property, buildings, parking areas, platforms, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, restricted areas, and public-facing spaces to help support authorized entry, assist with crowd and passenger flow, and report policy violations or suspicious behavior.
• Support emergency and routine operations by preparing clear reports, maintaining awareness of post orders, and following location procedures for alarms, medical incidents, evacuations, and/or transportation-related disruptions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a Concealed Carry Weapons Permit.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Handcuffing Certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
