💰 Pay: £14.46 per hour or Annual: £31,580.64

📅 Hours: 42 hours per week: 4 days on, 4 days off & 4 nights on, 4 nights off

This Security Officer Apprentice role offers exactly that.

You will join us as part of a structured Security Officer apprenticeship (Level 2), building your skills through hands‑on experience, expert support and real professional responsibility. This site offers exceptional exposure to advanced security operations, making it the perfect environment to grow your career from day one.

No experience is needed — just commitment, professionalism and the drive to succeed.

Note - Due to the Nature of the site all applicants must be able to pass BPSS (SC) Clearance and have a Full Driving Licence.

🔐 Your Role as an Apprentice Security Officer

You’ll play a vital role in keeping people, property and information safe. Your duties will include:

Security & Safety

• Conducting internal and external patrols
• Maintaining vigilance and reporting concerns promptly
• Supporting emergency procedures (evacuations, searches, incident response)

Access Control & Visitor Management

• Managing entry points, vehicle barriers and pass systems
• Welcoming and supporting staff, contractors and visitors
• Issuing temporary passes and maintaining accurate logs

CCTV & Monitoring

• Observing live camera feeds
• Reporting suspicious activity
• Supporting response to alarms and security alerts

Professional Conduct

• Providing outstanding customer service
• Communicating clearly with the wider team
• Recording all activities accurately for proper handover

Qualifications

What We’re Looking For

This is an apprentice opportunity, so no experience is required. Instead, we’re looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, proactive and eager to learn
• Professional in attitude and communication
• Calm, composed and able to follow clear processes
• Comfortable working as part of a team
• Motivated to build a long‑term career in security

Requirements (non‑negotiable due to site security):

• Ability to meet BPSS & SC vetting requirements (5 years UK residency)
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Right to work in the UK with 5‑year checkable history
• Good English communication skills
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern

You do not need prior security experience — full training and support is provided to ensure you thrive with us!
