As a Security Officer Access Gate in Point Comfort, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer at a dynamic chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage site access, and support daily operations with strong communication and customer service. You will remain visible, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while reflecting our values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or badges, log visitor and vehicle activity, and help to control access to restricted areas in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions, unauthorized activity, and other security-related concerns.
• Support gate operations by checking deliveries, directing authorized traffic, maintaining required records, and reporting policy violations and/or maintenance issues to site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A TSA issued TWIC is required.
• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
