💰 Pay: £13.45 per hour

Day Shift Role ⏰ Hours: 42 hours per week

📅 Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Days)

Night Shift Role ⏰ Hours: 42 hours per week

📅 Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off (Nights)

Step into a role where security meets service excellence. We're looking for a professional, customer-focused Security Officer to join our team at a world-renowned technology campus. You'll be at the heart of the workplace experience, creating a welcoming environment while helping to keep people, property, and assets safe and secure.

This is a dynamic role is set across a large estate, offering a varied and engaging opportunity. As a Security Officer, your duties will include conducting regular foot and vehicle patrols, monitoring the control room, responding to incidents, and supporting the smooth operation of the site covering a large radius each shift. You'll also engage with employees, visitors, and contractors while helping maintain a safe and professional environment across the campus - including its on-site canteen and café facilities which you will also be able to access day to day.

Job Description

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

• Welcome and assist staff, visitors, and contractors.
• Conduct regular security patrols and site inspections.
• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems.
• Prevent unauthorised access and maintain site security.
• Manage keys, passes, and visitor access.
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and evacuations.
• Report hazards, incidents, and security concerns.
• Maintain accurate records, logs, and handovers.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and site procedures.
• Support the protection of people, property, and assets.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

We’re looking for someone who sees a different world—someone who values teamwork, shows initiative, and wants to grow. Ideally, you’ll have:

• Valid SIA Licence (essential).
• Minimum 2 years' Security Officer or Control Room experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable employment and address history.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to obtain SC (Security Clearance).
• CCTV Licence desirable.
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
• Willing and able to conduct regular site patrols and respond to incidents as required.
• Excellent observational skills, attention to detail, and a professional approach to security operations.
