Job Description


Job
Summary: The Security Officer will be responsible for performing check-point
duties by the entrance and exit of the store and providing excellent customer
service when necessary.

MAIN DUTIES:


·
Welcoming customers and providing
efficient and excellent customer service when necessary.

·
Being vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities immediately
to management.
·
Check off invoices
against the physical items in shopping bags to ensure accuracy before customers
depart the store.
·
Monitor
the exit of high-risk merchandise frequently targeted by theft, ensuring proper
purchase verification and control.
·
Identify
and address attempted theft involving carts or baskets of unpaid merchandise
using non-confrontational techniques.
·
Monitor carts
and baskets to prevent concealment of unpaid merchandise, particularly in
undercarriage or hidden areas.

·
Deliver
courteous, final interactions with customers to ensure satisfaction while
reinforcing a visible security presence.

·
Maintain
a professional and approachable presence that promotes customer confidence and
reinforces a safe shopping environment.
·
Return
carts to their proper location within the store.

·
Any
other duties assigned.


WORKING ENVIRONMENT:


·
Stand for extended
periods (often 6 to 8 hours per shift).
·
Must be able to
lift up to 10 lbs occasionally


Requirements


QUALIFICATIONS:


Education and/or Experience


·
At minimum,
Secondary School diploma or equivalent preferred
·
One to
three years of retail experience (preferred).
·
Proven track record of reliability and punctuality
