Shoals also operates the region’s only in-patient acute rehabilitation facility, the J. W. Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals’ only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.

The Security Officer provides security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors. Responsibilities include:

• Performs proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
• Investigates and manages all security incidents and hazards on the premises.
• Maintains knowledge of and follows policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans. Facilitates planned drills and simulations.
• Provides information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote their safety on the premises.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred.
• Licenses: N/A
• Certifications: NCI within 30 days of hire/transfer
