About the role

Our security officers are the first point of contact for visitors, contractors, and staff. In this role, you will set the standard by delivering a professional and customer-focused experience while ensuring strict compliance with security protocols.

Job Location: Virginia, QLD

Contract: Casual

Shift Pattern: Day shifts with availability to support 24/7 rotating shifts as required

Key responsibilities

Primary duties include and are not limited to:

• Managing visitor passes and access control processes
• Issuing and maintaining staff, contractor, and visitor access cards
• Monitoring CCTV systems, alarms, and WHS compliance
• Conducting proactive internal and external patrols
• Responding to perimeter breaches and unauthorised access attempts
• Operating intercom systems and overseeing traffic and screening areas
• Liaising with stakeholders and escalating potential risks where required
• Maintaining accurate logs, reports, and security documentation
• Supporting a safe and compliant working environment at all times

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate professionalism, strong situational awareness and a commitment to safety.

• Current QLD Security Licence (Unarmed, Monitoring and Crowd Control)
• Valid First Aid Certificate with current CPR
• Current White Card
• CCTV monitoring experience (Gallagher system highly regarded)
• Experience with Gallagher alarm systems (desirable)
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Excellent observational and reporting skills
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in all situations
