💰 £14.08 per hour

🌙 4 On / 4 Off Nights

As a Security Officer, you will provide a professional security service at the assigned working location in line with Assignment Instructions and customer requirements, ensuring the protection of employees, property, and other assets. The Security Officer will deliver exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and demonstrating Securitas' core values of Integrity, Vigilance, and Helpfulness at all times. The Security Officer will act as a visible presence on site, responding appropriately to incidents, supporting customer needs, and helping to maintain a safe and secure environment. Please note that all prospective candidates must hold a full and valid SIA licence before commencing operational shifts.

✅ What We're Looking For

• Valid SIA Licence
• Right to work in the UK
• 5-year checkable employment history
• Reliable, professional, and well presented
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Over 18 years old
• No current criminal convictions
• Flexible to work nights, weekends, and public holidays

⭐ Desirable

• 2+ years' security experience
• Experience within a technology, manufacturing, research, or corporate environment
• Full UK driving licence
• First Aid qualification

Responsibilities

You’ll play a vital part in keeping people, property, and information safe. That includes:

What You'll Be Doing

• Conducting security patrols
• Monitoring CCTV and alarm systems
• Controlling site access
• Managing visitors and contractors
• Completing incident reports and site records
• Managing keys and access control
• Responding to incidents and emergencies
• Delivering exceptional customer service
• Maintaining a visible security presence

🦺 Health & Safety

• You'll help maintain a safe working environment by:
• Reporting hazards and incidents
• Supporting emergency procedures
• Checking First Aid equipment
• Ensuring emergency routes remain clear
• Liaising with the Security Operations Centre (SOC)
• Investigating alarms and responding to emergencies

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

• A valid SIA licence.
• 2+ years' security experience
• Flexibility to work days, nights, and weekends.
• The right to work in the UK, with a 5-year checkable history.
• Strong communication skills in English—both written and spoken.
