Has God called and equipped you to serve in Ministry where the Good News of Jesus is shared with millions? If you’re someone who stays calm under pressure and takes action when it matters most, this role is for you. As a Security Officer, you’ll lead from the front—protecting team members, securing high-profile visitors, and handling everything from patrols to active threat response. This isn’t just security—it’s critical, hands-on protection work every day.

In addition, a VALUES FIT is top priority. Do our values align with yours? Mission, Beliefs & Values. If so, please read on.

Here’s just some of what you will be doing daily…

  • Provide visible armed deterrence through professional open-carry presence.
  • Support special events, including traffic/parking control and venue security operations.
  • Control and monitor all ingress and egress points; verify employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries using manual and electronic systems.
  • Issue and manage visitor, contractor, and Team Member badges; maintain accurate badge, access, and visitor logs; partner with HR on badge lifecycle management.
  • Monitor and operate access control, video surveillance, and alarm systems; maintain system awareness and functionality.
  • Conduct escorts for employees, executives, VIPs, and sensitive assets as required.
  • Provide reception and visitor support, including check-in processes and contractor oversight.
  • Prepare detailed incident reports and recurring system summaries, including camera activity, badge accountability, and visitor records.
  • Immediately report and fully document any use of force, firearm discharge, or weapon deployment in accordance with ministry policy and Tennessee law.
  • Monitor publicly available information and approved reporting channels for potential threats to personnel, facilities, or events, and escalate concerns in accordance with policy.
  • Investigate suspicious activity, incidents, and safety violations; document findings thoroughly.
  • Inspect mail and packages for high-profile individuals.
  • Enforce compliance with Ministry policies and safety standards, including physical-security controls over restricted and compliance-sensitive areas such as PCI cardholder-data environments.
  • Respond to facility issues and safety needs (e.g., equipment checks, elevator malfunctions, lockdowns).
  • Conduct routine workplace inspections to identify unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  • Observe work activities and report potential hazards to the Sr. Manager of Safety & Security.
  • Maintain inventories of safety equipment and supplies.
  • Communicate safety expectations and reinforce safe work practices.
  • Manage incoming security communications and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Maintain proficiency in firearms, less-lethal tools, and defensive tactics, exercising sound judgment and restraint.
  • Complete and pass firearms qualification at least annually, and any additional re-qualification required by ministry policy or Tennessee law.
  • Conduct routine and advanced threat assessments; identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Respond decisively to active threats, workplace violence, medical emergencies, and safety incidents.
  • Execute Threat Response Protocols, including lockdowns, evacuations, and coordinated law enforcement response.
  • Coordinate and maintain professional relationships with law enforcement and external agencies.
  • Participate in and support the emergency response team; lead and assist with emergency drills (fire, evacuation, active shooter, bomb threat).
  • Provide executive protection services for leadership, artists, and VIPs on-site and during travel/events, including advance security assessments of venues, routes, and accommodations.
  • Ensure secure movement and discreet protection of executives and guests while minimizing disruption.
  • Mentor and support new officers through training and guidance.
