Essential Job Functions:

Conducts security rounds, checks access points, monitors cameras and locks and unlocks doors according to schedule or verbal instruction from authorized personnel.
Maintains accurate and complete documentation of all usual and unusual activities during the shift on the shift reports.
Monitors or guards patients or visitors who are violent, abusive, belligerent, uncooperative, or suicidal in accordance with Departmental policies and State, Local, and Federal laws. Handles situations of this nature in a professional manner.
Officer conducts and records fire drills according to Departmental policy. Fire Drills are to be completed in a timely fashion within the month. Officer maintains knowledge of the operation of all fire systems within the organization.
Officer has basic knowledge of the communication board. Has the experience needed to provide relief to the Switchboard Operator when necessary.
