Security Officer
Security Officers patrol various Health Center facilities and grounds to secure the safety, health and welfare of patients, visitors, and employees. Examines entrances, exits, and windows to ensure they are secure. Inspect equipment and machinery.

Shift: 2-week rotating schedule - Sunday through Saturday
Week 1: Monday 10:00pm - 6:00am Saturday: 6:00pm - 6:00am
Week 2: Sunday 6:00pm to 6:00am Monday: 10:00pm - 6:00am
Required: High School Diploma, IL Driver's License, Firearm Owner's ID Card (IL)
Pay: Based on experience, starting $19.61/hour
Responsibilities
Assists ambulances and helicopters with loading and unloading patients/equipment and secures helipad., Complete daily activity reports D.A.R.’s., Completes routine incident reports, answers telephones, and relays messages., Conducts fire drills monthly., Directs staff, visitors, and patients to various areas in the Health Center., Directs traffic around Health Center complex to prevent congestion., Escort’s staff, visitors, and patients to Health Center parking lots., Monitors security cameras and alarm system. Dispatches appropriate personnel to intercept or investigate unusual incidents., Patrols the Health Center complex, assuring that unoccupied office and storage areas are secure, checking parking lots for vandalism and theft, and inspecting machinery and equipment., Reports and investigates incidents or unusual occurrences to appropriate Health Center management and/or police department., Responds to and assists in restraining patients who are combative. Responds to disturbances between patients, visitors, or family members., Responds to emergency situations such as “Dr. Red”, “Plan D” and non-functional elevators. Assists in locating and extinguishing fires, and moving patients and visitors to safety., Responds to incidents involving undesirable individuals on the Health Center Complex. Escorts individuals off the property or detains individuals for the police department.
