The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of guests, employees, and company property and assets through vigilant monitoring, rapid response to incidents, and adherence to established security protocols.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:

  • Conduct regular patrols throughout hotel, casino, and outdoor areas to identify potential disturbances, illegal activity, or safety hazards, and implement appropriate corrective measures in accordance with company policy.
  • Execute patrol duties utilizing multiple methods, including foot patrols, company-provided bicycles, and vehicles, to ensure comprehensive coverage of all designated areas.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations in full compliance with applicable laws, company policies, and departmental procedures.
  • Maintain accountability and security of all access keys and related security equipment.
  • Document all shift activities and incidents through completion of required reports and incident logs.
  • Perform additional duties and special assignments as directed by management to support operational objectives.

Qualifications

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

  • Minimum age of 21 years
  • Ability to perform extended periods of standing and walking throughout assigned shifts
  • Physical capability to perform essential functions including lifting, reaching, kneeling, bending, and sustained moderate to strenuous physical exertion
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary certifications and licenses as required by the position
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, subject to company and insurer approval

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

  • Prior professional experience in casino security or related security operations
  • Demonstrated proficiency in security protocols and incident response procedures
  • Strong documentation and report-writing capabilities
