Security Officer

Location: Arugo Estate, Imo State
Employment Type: Full-Time
Work Schedule: 24-Hour Shift (Rotational)
Industry: Healthcare / Pharmacy
Experience Level: 1 – 3 Years (Preferred)
Salary Range: ₦50,000 – ₦70,000 Monthly

We are seeking vigilant, disciplined, and reliable Security Officers to ensure the safety and security of the pharmacy premises, staff, patients, and assets. The ideal candidates will maintain a secure environment by monitoring activities, controlling access, and responding promptly to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

1. Access Control & Surveillance


  • Monitor and control entry and exit points to the facility.

  • Verify identities of staff, visitors, and vendors where necessary.

  • Conduct routine patrols of the premises to ensure security compliance.

2. Safety & Incident Management


  • Detect and prevent unauthorized activities, theft, or security breaches.

  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or suspicious behavior.

  • Report incidents and escalate issues to management when necessary.

3. Asset Protection


  • Safeguard pharmacy equipment, medications, and other assets.

  • Monitor movement of goods and ensure proper authorization for removal.

4. Customer & Staff Support


  • Provide directions and basic assistance to patients and visitors.

  • Maintain a professional and courteous presence at all times.

  • Support staff in maintaining order within the facility.

5. Compliance & Reporting


  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.

  • Ensure adherence to company security policies and procedures.

  • Follow health and safety regulations at all times.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)


  • Incident Response Time: Immediate and effective

  • Security Breaches: Zero tolerance

  • Compliance Rate: 100% adherence to security protocols

  • Attendance & Punctuality: 95%

  • Reporting Accuracy: Timely and complete documentation

Qualifications & Requirements


  • Minimum of SSCE / OND qualification.

  • 1 – 3 years' experience in a security role (healthcare setting is an added advantage).

  • Physically fit and alert with strong observational skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • High level of integrity, discipline, and professionalism.

  • Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
