About the role

MSS Security is seeking casual Security Officers to work across multiple areas of a hospital in Gold Coast. This role requires patrols, control room and work in high-risk wards.

This role does not require prior security experience, but strong customer-facing experience is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patrol and monitor hospital premises to detect and respond to any security risks.
• Ensuring all designated hospital doors are locked (or unlocked) and secured as required during shifts
• Monitor security systems and respond to incidents and emergencies promptly.
• Manage access control and identification verification for all hospital areas.
• Collaborate with medical staff and law enforcement when necessary.
• Assist in resolving patient or visitor disputes in a calm and professional manner.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, patients, and visitors.

Requirements:

• Full Australian Working Rights
• QLD Security License (security officer - crowd control component)
• Control Room Endorsement (advantageous, not required)
• Certificate II in Security Operations (or higher)
• First Aid and CPR Certificate
• Availability to work a 24*7 rotating roster - 12 hours shifts (day time and night time)
• Up-to-date vaccinations or willing to obtain
