Be the first line of defence at a fast-moving national logistics hub.

We’re seeking an experienced Level 5 Gatehouse Security Officer to support operations at a busy TGE transport facility. This is a critical role where you will control site access, support freight operations, and ensure the safety of vehicles, drivers, visitors, and staff.

This is a Full Time position offering flexibility within a structured 24/7 rotating roster, ideal for experienced officers seeking consistent shifts in a high-responsibility environment.

The Role

As the Gatehouse Security Officer, you will be the control point for all site access and compliance, working closely with operations teams to maintain safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.

This is a 24/7 rotating roster with 12 hr shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Control site access and prevent unauthorised entry
• Conduct vehicle, freight, and bag inspections
• Complete accurate, real-time data entry into live national Excel spreadsheets
• Communicate regularly with operations via two-way radio and phone systems
• Conduct site inductions for drivers and visitors
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and surveillance systems
• Issue and audit access cards
• Record incidents, breaches, and safety concerns
• Support on-the-job training of other officers
• Perform duties across Levels 1–3 when required (without deskilling)

What You’ll Bring

Mandatory:

• Current Security Licence
• Current First Aid & CPR
• Current Driver’s Licence
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Strong communication skills
• High attention to detail and safety focus
• Physical fitness suitable for an active role

Highly Regarded:

• Experience in transport, freight or logistics environments
• CCTV and access control system experience
• Strong computer skills and Excel proficiency
