Starting Wage DOE: 18.74 - 23.43
Our healthcare security team is responsible for maintaining the security and safety for all at Billings Clinic which includes hospital staff, patients and visitors. Security Officers will be assigned specific areas of responsibility and are expected to deter illegal activities on hospital property while positively contributing to the overall patient experience through a customer service approach. The Billings Clinic Security Officers will provide an empathetic, safe approach to managing patient aggression and supervision of at-risk patients in the hospital environment.
Essential Job Functions
•Supports and models behaviors consistent with Billings
Clinic’s mission, vision, values, code of business conduct and service
expectations. Meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements.
Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency
standards as it relates to the environment, employee, patient safety or job
performance.
•Protect staff, patients, visitors, and property from
theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the
potential for violence in the workplace
•Ensure proper physical security is maintained at all
locations of the Billings Clinic Campus
•Maintains and displays good public relations skills when
interacting with visitors and staff
•Monitors entrances and exits during Emergency Management
Situations to include Flood Control
•Prevents unapproved or unlawful entry in conjunction
with Patients Plan of Care
•Assist Clinical staff in managing patient care through
AEGIS taught applications
•Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents,
and suspicious activities
•Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering,
smoking or carrying forbidden articles
•Makes periodic patrols to check for irregularities and
to inspect protection devices and fire control equipment
•Transport or Escort Staff and Patients as needed
•Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to
meet the needs of the department/organization.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
·High School or GED
Certifications and Licenses
·IAHSS Basic
Certification completed within six (6) months of appointment.
· Must
maintain valid Mt State Driver’s License.
•Must be able to meet and continue to meet requirements
of the Montana Board of Private Security to be license as a Security Officer.
•Be able to pass a drug screen.
•Successfully pass a background check that includes
personal references, DMV check criminal history, employment and education
verification, and DMV check
•Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
relating to the above tasks, knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered
