About the role: MSS Security is seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations at a Public Housing Estate. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of security services, leading and supporting the on-site security team, and fostering strong working relationships with key stakeholders. The Site Manager will oversee all security operations within the Public Housing Estate, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents, visitors, and staff. The role includes managing and developing a team of security officers, maintaining community standards, and ensuring full compliance with relevant legislation, contractual obligations, and organisational policies.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Team Leadership & Supervision
Supervise, and support a team of security guards.
Conduct regular briefings and performance reviews.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and training to enhance team capability.
Incident & Risk Management
Respond to and manage incidents, including reporting, escalation, and follow-up.
Liaise with emergency services and local police as needed.
Monitor and manage anti-social behaviour, trespassing, and community safety concerns.
Develop and implement site-specific security strategies to address emerging risks.
Stakeholder Engagement
Build positive relationships with residents, housing staff, local authorities, and community organisations.
Attend community meetings and represent the security team in stakeholder discussions.
Compliance & Reporting
Maintain accurate records of patrols, incidents, and disciplinary actions.
Ensure guards are adhering to all legal and ethical guidelines, including the use of personal devices and appropriate conduct on duty.
Manage disciplinary processes as needed, including conducting investigations and issuing warnings in line with company policies.
Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and client-specific requirements.
What we are looking for:
Full Australian working rights
Current Victorian Security License with Control Room Endorsement
Certificate II in security operations or higher
Employee Working With Children's Check or willing to obtain
Prior experience of line management of staff in complex environments
Ability to resolve conflicts and risk management
Well-organised and initiative-taking with the ability to prioritise in a fast-paced environment.
Someone who is looking for a challenging but rewarding role.
Willing to undergo a national police clearance.
