Job Description

The Security Manager supports enterprise security initiatives within DoD or similar organizations, providing integrated oversight of information, personnel, physical, industrial, operations, and cybersecurity programs in SCI and SAP environments. Duties include managing classified facilities, maintaining SIPRNet and JWICS access, supporting program access and clearance processes, developing security documentation and classification guidance, and advising government leadership on security matters. The role requires independent judgment, minimal supervision, and willingness to travel within assigned areas of responsibility.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide full-spectrum security management across information, personnel, physical, industrial, operations, communications, and cybersecurity domains in SCI and SAP environments
  • Oversee and integrate security programs in compliance with DoD, Air Force, and Intelligence Community requirements
  • Open, close, and support management of classified (SCI/SAP) facilities as appointed
  • Maintain and support access to SIPRNet and JWICS systems
  • Advise and assist government program managers, supervisors, and personnel on security matters
  • Develop, maintain, and implement security documentation, including SOPs, EAPs, SCGs, PSDs, and security overlays
  • Conduct security risk assessments, threat and vulnerability analyses, and provide mitigation recommendations
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives for protection of classified and sensitive information in the cyber environment
  • Assist with program access processes, including PAR submissions, tracking, and documentation compliance
  • Verify and maintain personnel clearance and access data across required security databases
  • Manage security education, training, in-briefing, out-briefing, and classification marking compliance
  • Support program protection, technology control, CUI protection, and ICD 703 compliance
  • Assist with inspections, self-assessments, and development of security scorecards
  • Coordinate travel and security support across assigned geographic areas of responsibility
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:

  • Must be US Citizen
  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; ability to maintain access to SIPRNet and JWICS
  • 5+ years of experience in security management within DoD or comparable government organizations
  • Demonstrated experience supporting SCI and SAP programs
  • Working knowledge of information, personnel, physical, industrial, operations, and cybersecurity security disciplines
  • Experience opening and closing classified facilities
  • Familiarity with DoD, Air Force, and Intelligence Community security policies and systems (e.g., DISS, AF ADS)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and exercise sound judgment
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively within assigned areas of responsibility
