Expectations:
Enhances the Huntington Hospital environment of care as a member of the Security team. The K-9 Officer will provide a safe and secure environment for all persons on premises by working closely with their assigned shift, conducting K-9 patrols, responding to calls and documenting incidents. Performs all functions of a patrol Security officer. Investigates and makes recommendations for safety enhancements for the hospital campus and staff. Maintains health and welfare of K-9 dog, on a 24 x 7 basis. This position will require flexibility of hours.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum 2 years experience in security, law enforcement or military required.
Experience in hospital security and/or K-9 operations are preferred. Basic K-9 Handler Agitator Course preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current California (CA) driver’s license. Must be insurable under Huntington's liability insurance.
Current CA Guard Card with Baton Permit
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $24.00 - $36.00.
Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
