Amentum is seeking a Security Guard to work on Andros Island, Bahamas on the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) project. The Security Guard will perform functions at AUTEC in support of a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and government assets on the AUTEC project. This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides and controls vehicle and pedestrian access to the facilities and ensures compliance with visitor regulations.
Inspects and controls access of materials into facilities.
Makes security checks of assigned facilities and areas.
Completes compliance and safety inspections in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Maintains logs.
Detects security incidents and reports them to Navy Security Forces for investigation and action.
Must follow all security rules and regulations.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Ability to work 12 hr. shifts, day or night for no less than 5 days.
Minimum Requirements:
One (1) year related experience working in a Security environment.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Adept at working with computer systems and applications with specific knowledge of the Microsoft office application suite.
Must be able to perform normal or emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing/walking/driving/jumping for extended periods of time.
Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders.
Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds of material or equipment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.
Valid U.S. passport and driver's license will be required.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) or more years of Security Guard experience and certification as a Security Guard.
Experience working in classified environments preferred.
