Job Description

Amentum is seeking a Security Guard to work in Andros Island, Bahamas on the Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) project. The Security Guard will perform functions at AUTEC in support of a safe and secure environment for staff, visitors and government assets on the AUTEC project. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provides and controls vehicle and pedestrian access to the facilities and ensures compliance with visitor regulations.

• Inspects and controls access of materials into facilities.

• Makes security checks of assigned facilities and areas.

• Completes compliance and safety inspections in accordance with established policies and procedures.

• Maintains logs.

• Detects security incidents and reports them to Navy Security Forces for investigation and action.

• Must follow all security rules and regulations.

• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

• Ability to work 12 hr. shifts, day or night for no less than 5 days.

Minimum Requirements:

• One (1) year related experience working in a Security environment.

• High school graduate or equivalent.

• Adept at working with computer systems and applications with specific knowledge of the Microsoft office application suite.

• Must be able to perform normal or emergency duties requiring physical exertion such as standing/walking/driving/jumping for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to climb stairs and/or ladders.

• Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds of material or equipment.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

• Must be able to reside in remote work location with limited medical facilities.

• Valid Driver's License and U.S. passport will be required.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government Clearance. Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

• One (1) or more years of Security Guard experience and certification as a Security Guard.

• Experience working in classified environments preferred.

Compensation Details:

$20.00
