Job Description

The Security Officer inspects, monitors, controls, and patrols work sites, an assigned facility, and/or people, and may be expected to collect and complete paperwork. Maintains security at all hospital outlets. May conduct safety inspections. The position relies on guidelines and some experience and judgment to complete job and works under general supervision.

1. TECHNICAL TASKS
   1. Keep daily reports accurate and neat.
   2. Checks equipment to ensure safety.
   3. Understands the access control system.
2. CRITICAL THINKING
   1. Carries out assignments as directed.
   2. Demonstrates an understanding of policy and procedures.
   3. Treats confidential information appropriately.
   4. Regularly reports security incidents to supervisor.
   5. Handles emergency/crisis situations appropriately.
   6. Demonstrates correct behavior when dealing with violent or potentially violent circumstances.

   1. Assists others when necessary.
   2. Demonstrates a consistent level of performance.

4. Other Duties as Assigned

• No experience required 5 years of good driving experience: no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years and zero DUI convictions or reckless driving convictions; periodic motor vehicle/ driving record checks may be obtained throughout employment.
• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Interpersonal & human relations skills and oral & written communication skills
• Valid LA driver's license (or must obtain one within probationary employment period if coming from out of state)
