This role

As our Security GRC Manager, you’ll be working with internal stakeholders (IT, legal, compliance, product, engineering) and will be instrumental in shaping the organisation's information security and GRC strategy to proactively mitigate security risks.

Working schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm

Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000

Your key focus areas will be

• Develop and drive the organisation's overarching information security and GRC strategy in alignment with business objectives.
• Oversee security governance processes, risk management frameworks, and compliance programs (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC2).
• Lead internal and external security audits, ensuring all compliance requirements and deadlines are met.
• Establish, maintain, and enforce high-level information security policies, procedures, and standards.

This will include

• Lead and manage a team of Security GRC professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development support.
• Serve as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders (IT, legal, compliance, product, engineering) to drive security initiatives and foster a security-conscious culture.
• Lead regular risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and audits, providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
• Oversee and guide security incident responses, ensuring rapid remediation, effective communication, and root cause analysis.
• Establish security training programs to ensure employees across all levels understand their role in maintaining information security.
• Monitor emerging trends in information security and implement continuous improvements to safeguard data and assets.

Who you are

• Degree in information technology, information security, risk management, or equivalent work experience (industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, or CISA are highly desirable).
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team, with strong consultative, written, and verbal communication skills to influence stakeholders across all organisational levels.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary frameworks and methodologies (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC2).
• Broad knowledge of current Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) technological tools and methodologies.
• Ability to work autonomously with a strong focus on continuous improvement and constructively challenging the status quo.
• Strong consultative skills to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, paired with meticulous attention to detail and a strong desire to learn.
