Join a dynamic and collaborative team focused on securing the software delivery lifecycle through innovative CI/CD pipeline design and enhancement. This team operates at the intersection of security, automation, and AI-enabled DevSecOps, partnering closely with software engineering and platform teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient software delivery solutions. The team values technical leadership, continuous improvement, and a culture of collaboration to drive impactful security outcomes across Cisco's engineering organizations.
An early-career Security Engineer supports applied security research and engineering that advances how AI is built and used securely across Cisco. Under guidance, you’ll perform routine security assignments, run defined tests and experiments, contribute to basic security tooling, and document evidence and findings. Additionally, you’ll apply established Cisco Secure Development Lifecycle, security, and responsible-AI practices to help engineering teams identify and reduce risk.

Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training. The full salary range for certain locations is listed below. For locations not listed below, the recruiter can share more details about compensation for the role in your location during the hiring process.

Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:
New York City Metro Area:
$107,800.00 - $157,400.00
Non-Metro New York state & Washington state:
$94,800.00 - $140,000.00
