Job Description
Join our dynamic R&D teams in Cambridge and London, whereyou'llcontribute to the development and enhancement of products driving our company's rapid growth.
Please note this is a hybrid position requiring attendance in the Cambridge office at least 2 days per week.
What will I be doing?
Successful candidateswill complete a 12-week structured training programme to developexpertisein threat detection and investigation, working alongside security analysts reviewing real incidents, understanding attacker techniques acrosshybridnetworks, email, and AI usageThis includesdirect experience with the Darktrace platformand how it detects and responds to threats,exposure to progressivelymorecomplexattacksand environments,andconcludeswith Darktrace security certification
Followingthis training,candidates will jointhe security engineering team, workingdirectlyonDarktrace's Cyber AIAnalyst,automatingthe security analysisprocess.Candidates will own theend-to-endcreationofAI-driven hypothesesthat investigate activity across the digital estate,includinginitial researchanddevelopment,releasetocustomers, and continuous improvement based on feedback.This process will also include extensive collaboration with machine learning, security research, and software engineering teams.
What experience do I need?
This is a hybrid role, combining skills across securityanalysis, machine learning research, and software engineering.Since this position includesan initialtrainingcomponent, we do notnecessarilyexpect candidates to have extensive experience in all three, but the role would best fit someone witha strong desireto learn and some combination of thefollowing:
Ideally a PhD in any technical area, or equivalent research background
Knowledge or interest inthecyber securitylandscape,including network and AI threats
Experience with Python, including asynchronous code and structured data analysis pipelines
Knowledge of software engineering best practices(e.g. object-oriented code, continuous integration, unit testing)
Experience withAI andmachine learning techniques (e.g. statistics, clustering, classification, anomaly detection, embeddings, LLMusage)
