The primary responsibility of the Security Engineer is to managethe day-to-day support for data systems, ensuring all systems function optimally to support business operations. This role involves coordinating cyber security support across all platforms,troubleshootingand managing security-related issues, andmaintainingdata security as part of daily operations. The IT Security Engineer works closely with various departments within Honda Canada and with the regional operation of American Honda to integrate security measures into all aspects of the organization's operations and to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards
RESPONSIBILITIES
Cyber Security Support:
Coordinate day-to-day cyber security support across all platforms.
Troubleshoot and manage security-related issues.
Manage security enhancement releases.
Project Management:
Support other IT areas inthe successfuldelivery of projects.
Ensure feature development and create a cohesive roadmap for evolving security concepts, strategies, and frameworks.
Develop and manage project plans and schedules.
Customer Service and Support:
Provide outstanding customer service and support for data systems and applications.
Resolve break/fix issues and perform analytical and diagnostic activities.
Maintain data security as part of day-to-day operations.
Collaboration and Communication:
Coordinate with business peers, IT peers, and IT management for project decision-making and risk management.
Communicate project updates and reports to various levels of the organization.
Build awareness of security practices and ensure adherence to company policies and ISD guidelines.
Technical Expertise:
Maintain a good understanding of data systems and related technologies.
Apply knowledge of security governance, identity access management, endpoint security, network and cloud infrastructure, and application vulnerability assessment.
Design and implement organizational structures supporting the security target operating model and cyber resilience framework

QUALIFICATIONS
University degree in Engineering or Security-specific undergraduate program
CISSP, CISA, and/or CISM preferred
0-3 years in IT with a specialization in security;1 to 2 years of experience in managing specific IT areas.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Various technical skills and understandings (based on specific functions to be managed)including but not limited to:Customer Service, Communication, People Leadership,Project Management,Business Intelligence / Reporting,Network / Infrastructure management,Applicationand security protocols
Develops andmaintainsgood working relationshipswithall members of the team.
Develops andmaintainsgood working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders.

HIRING PRACTICES
The salary range for this position is $83,139.00 - $98,727.00annually. Individual salaries within this range aredeterminedby a variety of job-related factors, including education, experience, knowledge, and skill set.
This is an on-site with occasional work-from-home position that requires employees to work on-site four days per week with the opportunity towork-from-home one day per week (with a dedicated workspace at the assigned company office).
