Job Description

Our Client is in search of a dedicated and skilled Security Engineer to be an integral part of our team. This pivotal role is focused on protecting our company's digital assets by overseeing and enhancing our security systems. The Security Engineer will undertake a range of technical and administrative duties aimed at keeping our IT infrastructure secure from potential threats.

Primary Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to)

• Security Policy and Documentation: Craft and document comprehensive security policies for distribution throughout the company.
• Security Training Program: Manage and improve the company-wide information security training program to boost staff awareness and ensure compliance.
• Vendor Security Onboarding: Direct the security evaluation and integration process for new IT vendors to align with our security standards.
• Firewall Administration: Configure, operate, and maintain firewalls, focusing on systems like Check Point and Palo Alto Networks.
• VPN Management: Establish, oversee, and troubleshoot VPNs using technologies from Cisco, Check Point, and Pulse Secure.
• Scripting: Use scripting languages such as BASH, Ruby, Perl, and Python to streamline security tasks and workflows.
• Privileged Identity Management: Oversee sensitive access controls and identities utilizing CyberArk.
• Penetration Testing: Support the execution of penetration tests to discover vulnerabilities within our network.

Requirements

• Scripting Proficiency: Proficient in at least one scripting language for automation and configuration purposes.
• Security Fundamentals: A robust understanding of security principles applicable to UNIX or Windows environments.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Certifications: Professional certifications like CISSP, CISM, or similar are strongly preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-6 years in a security engineering role or related field.

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
