Responsibilities

We are looking for a Security Engineer for one of our clients and this is going to be a hybrid, long term contract role in Tokyo-Japan.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Manage and support both on-premises and cloud identity environments, including Active Directory, ADFS, WAP, and Entra ID.
  • Troubleshoot authentication and access-related issues, ensure seamless identity synchronization, and maintain secure access across hybrid environments.
  • Support network-related aspects of identity systems (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS) and contribute to implementing secure authentication mechanisms and access controls.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge and experience of On-premises Identity (AD / ADFS / WAP)
  • Knowledge and experience of Cloud Identity (Entra ID / Microsoft Entera Connect)
  • Basic knowledge of computer network (HTTP, TLS, TCP/IP, DNS)
  • Strong collaboration skills and adherence to security best practices are essential for maintaining a stable and secure identity infrastructure.

  • Japanese: Native or fluent (Read/Write/Speak/Listen)

  • English: Not required

  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment

PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of PKI (AD CS / X.509)
  • Knowledge of MIM / FIM
  • Basic Knowledge of On-premises ID Protocol (Kerberos / NTLM / LDAP)
  • Basic Knowledge of Cloud ID Protocol (SAML / OAuth / OIDC / FIDO / SCIM)
  • Knowledge of O365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams)
  • Knowledge of Intune
  • Knowledge of Defender (MDE / MDI / MDCA)
