GIS partners with Technology, Operations, Corporate functions, and the Business to embed security into day-to-day operations while supporting productivity, regulatory compliance, and operational resilience. GIS balances strong controls with efficiency and operates globally across the US, EMEA, and APAC to provide round-the-clock coverage.

Jefferies is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Security) to drive DevOps technology adoption and modernization across our application development teams. This role is Senior Role who can design, implement, troubleshoot, and operate CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps tooling.

  • Design, build, and operate CI/CD pipelines end-to-end:

Implement scalable CI/CD pipelines for a wide range of technologies (Java, C++, Python, etc.) for both native and containerized workloads.
  • Kubernetes & container modernization (hands-on):

Containerize existing applications and deploy/operate workloads on Kubernetes, including day-2 operations and troubleshooting.
  • GitOps and modern delivery tooling:

Implement and support GitOps workflows using Argo CD and related tooling; enable and support GitHub Actions where appropriate.
  • Deep collaboration with application teams:

Work directly with engineering teams to integrate DevOps tools into workflows, improve build/release practices, and unblock delivery issues.
  • Automation & engineering enablement:

Develop scripts and automation (Python/Bash/PowerShell) to streamline build, deployment, and operational processes.
  • Platform monitoring and governance:

Centrally monitor and manage repositories, builds, pipeline execution, artifact management, and deployment environments.
  • Continuous improvement:

Evaluate, recommend, and implement enhancements to the DevOps toolchain and engineering practices.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven hands-on DevOps experience operating and building solutions yourself (must be able to explain tools, workflows, and troubleshooting steps in detail).
  • Strong experience managing on-prem DevOps tools, especially:
    • Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo)
    • JFrog (Artifactory and related components)
  • Hands-on CI/CD engineering and pipeline implementation (Bamboo and/or Jenkins; plus modern tooling exposure).
  • Kubernetes (hands-on): deploying, debugging, and operating containerized applications in Kubernetes environments.
  • GitHub Actions exposure and ability to implement/maintain workflows.
  • Argo CD / GitOps experience (implementation, troubleshooting, environment promotion patterns).
  • Strong scripting skills: Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Strong version control knowledge: Git.
  • Working proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code / configuration tools such as Terraform and Ansible; Kubernetes ecosystem tools such as Helm and Argo CD.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with application teams and communicate clearly across stakeholders.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with AWS services used in CI/CD and container platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Azure (not a primary requirement).
  • Comfort reading/understanding codebases in Java and C++ (package management, build systems, compilation/tooling).
