Full-Time | Schedule: 11:00PM - 7:00AM Saturday - Wednesday (Off Thursday & Friday) | Pay: $21.23

Job Purpose or Objective(s): The Security Corporal is responsible for the protection of all property of the Choctaw Nation, assisting in the supervision and development of security officers, and for ensuring policies and procedures are followed as applicable.
Primary Tasks:
- Access, retrieve, and log computerized data.
- Investigate unusual, suspicious, or potentially dangerous situations and take appropriate action.
- Assist with all emergency situations such as active shooter, medical, fire, severe weather, and other critical incidents.
- Conduct regular patrols of both internal and external Choctaw Nation properties.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Choctaw Nation regulations, policies, and procedures while ensuring security operations are conducted in accordance with established standards and confidentiality requirements.
- Maintain accurate daily activity logs and complete incident reports regarding security issues and submit them to the Security Supervisor.
- Assist in training and development of Security officers.
- Respond to customer and associate-related issues involving potential threats, disturbances, or volatile situations while exercising sound judgment and professionalism, when necessary. Refers dangerous situations or complex problems to supervisor or Lighthorse Police.
- Operate department vehicles, emergency equipment, and short-wave radios, and administer CPR and first aid as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
- At least of 21 years of age
- Must be medically fit and able to perform all the essential functions of a Security Officer and pass a physical fitness test
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license.
- Basic Computer skills to enable report writing, composition or correspondence, Internet, and email
- Ability to reason and react calmly and quickly in emergency and life-threatening situations
- Able to qualify yearly with department firearms
- Six [6] months of prior experience as a Security Officer
