
The Security Command Center (SCC) Assistant Manager assigned to the Company Moorestown, New Jersey has responsibility to manage all day-to-day operations,
and all personnel assigned to the Security Command Centers (SCCs) in both Newark, NJ and
Moorestown, NJ.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties:
OPERATIONS:
The Security Command Center Managers are responsible for, but not limited to, the following
responsibilities and duties:
• Assist with the management of day-to-day operations of the Security Command
Centers in Newark, NJ and Moorestown, NJ.
• Required to be on call after hours on a rotating basis to support SCC operations and
Business Assurance & Resilience (CS&P) needs.
• Responsible for ensuring the coordination of maintenance and repair activities for
access control and Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) systems with the Company’s outsourced
security integrators and other resources internal to PSEG.
• Review subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance
assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/ disciplinary actions.
• Ensuring that all shifts are staffed with qualified personnel.
• Supervise training programs that enhance duties, responsibilities, and conduct
operator performance.
• Assist the SCC Manager in managing and planning security operations to safeguard
premises and employees against risk of unauthorized entry, fire, theft, vandalism,
terrorism and criminal activities.
• Assist in the resolution of problems and/or conflicts and maintain open
communication with the CS&P management, including providing regular written and
oral reports to ensure satisfaction.
• Continuous review of existing and new security procedures, to ensure the client has
appropriate control and monitoring features to minimize risks for assigned
responsibilities.
• Assist in the preparation of required daily, weekly and monthly activity reports for
submittal to Company representatives.
• Assist in the establishment of process performance metrics; tracking, analyzing and
reporting performance in terms of quality, safety, cost, and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain flexibility in shift assignments as needed to ensure that job responsibilities
are completed.• Provide additional services as defined by Company’s authorized personnel.
• Provide support to the internal investigative processes, including the preparation of
access control records and CCTV recordings.
• Assure the maintenance of regulatory compliance for regulations including NERC
CIP.
• Aid in assuring 0 undetected breaches of company property monitored by
the Security Command Center.
• Ensure that operators are alert and fit to perform duty.
• Periodically monitor live video of the Security Command Center to ensure all
operators are alert and attentive to console operations.
Systems Administration and Support:
AMAG NERC Access Control
• Shall consult on area set up and configuration, including implementation of access
control lists.
• Shall assist with the configuration and routing of alarms.
• Shall assist with pre-implementation, acceptance, commissioning, implementation,
and functionality testing.
Dataminr External Situational Awareness Tool
• Shall assist SCC Manager with functions below:
• Maintenance of lists of facilities monitored by the Dataminr (Crime, risk, and
incident data collection application) service.
• Management of alert perimeters for each facility.
• Development and management of alert profiles for Profiles.
AMAG/Symmetry Access Control Integration System
• Shall perform pre-implementation, acceptance, commissioning, implementation,
and functionality testing as needed
• Responsible for development of new procedures and review and update of existing
procedures.
• Shall coordinate remediation with internal and external partners as needed
Regulatory Compliance:
• Shall assist SCC Manager with functions below:
• Shall organize and compile records required to ensure auditable compliance with
regulatory requirements.
• Shall perform audit tasks as requested by CS&P and other entities internal to
Company.
• Shall develop methods to extract data from the access control system to support
audit processes.
• Shall ensure that Security Command Center Operators are familiar with regulatory
requirements, and how they relate to their day-to-day duties.
• Shall manage activities of the SCC and ensure timely and accurate reporting of data
related to Company programs to ensure compliance with Federal Energy Regulatory
Commission (FERC) and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
• Shall perform administrative functions to support the Continuum Access Control
System, CCTV applications, Genetec, Visitor Management, Everbridge, and the
Dataminr Situation Awareness Tool.
• Shall support SC&P efforts and company-wide efforts to ensure compliance with the
North American Electric Reliability Critical Infrastructure Program (NERC CIP).
• Shall assist with the development and periodic review of business processes and
procedures related to NERC Compliance.
• Participate in SC&P Change Management Committee meetings in absence of SCC
Manager.
Skills and Competencies:
• Must have extensive prior operations experience with guard force operations and/or
security command centers. Shall have sufficient specialized training and computer skills
to utilize Security Command Center Access Control, Video, Overlay (Physical Security
Information Management (PSIM)), Intercom, and Radio Systems on a 24/7 basis at two
different locations
