Schedule:

Tuesday through Friday 6:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

Saturday 6:00a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The Security Associate will be primarily responsible for ensuring security of the building and outside trailers through constant monitoring of dock doors, incoming/outgoing drivers, and coordination of pickups and delivery of trucks. This position will coordinate the loading of trucks, ensuring correct BOLS are allocated and signed. This role will maintain organization of the security office and will promote safety practices and initiatives throughout the warehouse.

CORE FUNCTIONS

• Responsible for the security of the building and outside trailers. Ensure trailers are locked and banded, ensure dock doors are secured and locked.

• Coordinate incoming and outgoing drivers. Track and verify personnel as drivers enter and leave the premises.

• Ensure correct BOLS (Bills of Ladings).

• Monitor dock doors.

• Perform other duties, as required.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience

• High School or GED Required.
• 1-3 years of experience in a shipping/logistics role

Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

• Demonstrated leadership and accountability.

• Skilled in general PC operation/navigation and application-specific experience including Microsoft Office 365 applications (MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint).

• Ability to respond to complaints. Ability to effectively present information to top management.

• Ability to write, speak and comprehend English.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw an interpret graphs.
• Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; Gathers and analyzes information skillfully; Develops alternative solutions; Works well in group problem solving situations; Uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics.
