Expectations:
Provides a safe and secure environment for all persons on premises by assisting the security Manager in supervising and coordinating activities of the security department and staff. Responsible for daily security operations. Supervises Security Officers, K-9 Handlers, Dispatchers, and Supervisors. Responsible for all staff training. Assumes responsibility for the department in the absence of the Security Manager with the authority to discipline in accordance with established standards.
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED required. Related course work in management, security administration or criminal justice.
EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in hospital or similar facility security and/or dispatch operations required
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in supervisor role with staff training and development required.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in security preferred.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Current California (CA) driver’s license. Must be insurable under Huntington's liability insurance.
Current CA Guard Card issued by the CA Bureau of Security & Investigative Services (BSIS) required
Preferred:
Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association
Current Basic, Advanced, or Supervisor certification issued by International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS)
SKILLS:
Read, write, speak English fluently.
Basic computer knowledge, to include, but not limited to, Microsoft Office and other hospital related programs preferred.
Basic report writing skills.

Pay Range: The estimated base rate for this position is $96,720.00 - $145,080.00.
Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
