We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to support a high-impact government environment based onsite in Canberra.

Working within a highly secure and complex setting, you will contribute to the development of security architecture, policies and practices, ensuring solutions align with both current and emerging cyber security standards.

This is a 18 month contract role requiring NV2 or TSPV security clearance.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will:

  • Design and develop security architectures across current, transitional and future states
  • Define, validate and trace security requirements across systems and solutions
  • Assess solution designs against security frameworks, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
  • Conduct gap analysis between current and target architectures, providing risk-based recommendations
  • Provide expert advice on security considerations for solution implementation and change requests
  • Support governance processes, contributing to design approvals and stakeholder forums
  • Ensure alignment with organisational security strategies, policies and standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of security practices and architecture capability

What You’ll Bring

To be successful, you will bring:

  • Proven depth of experience in security architecture
  • Strong capability in information assurance and security risk management
  • Experience designing secure solutions across complex or enterprise environments
  • Ability to interpret and apply security frameworks, policies and standards
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in risk assessment, gap analysis and architecture design
  • Experience contributing to solution architecture and system design decisions
  • The ability to provide clear, expert advice to technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A relevant qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline
