About the role

As Security and Safety Manager, you will lead the Security and Safety function of The Park Gstaad, A Four Seasons Hotel, ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, assets and property.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will take ownership of the hotel’s day-to-day security operation, risk management, emergency preparedness and crisis response. As a Department Head, you will establish a proactive and service-oriented security culture across the hotel, combining sound judgement, discretion and operational expertise with the warmth and care that define Four Seasons.

This is a permanent, full-year position, joining our pre-opening team in March 2027 ahead of the hotel’s Summer 2027 opening.

What you will do

  • Lead all security and safety activities across the hotel, protecting guests, employees, assets and the property

  • Lead, develop and supervise the Security team and coordinate external security providers where applicable

  • Oversee physical security systems and procedures, including access control, CCTV, alarms, key security, patrols and incident management

  • Conduct risk assessments and investigations and ensure appropriate reporting, follow-up and preventive measures

  • Lead the hotel’s security emergency preparedness and crisis management activities, including procedures, drills and employee training

  • Coordinate security planning for VIP stays, special events and other higher-risk activities

  • Maintain strong relationships with local police, fire and emergency services and work closely with hotel leadership and relevant Four Seasons security resources

  • Lead security readiness for the hotel opening and continuously develop the property’s security standards and practices

What you bring

  • A degree, diploma or recognised professional qualification in Security Management, Risk Management, Hospitality Management or a related field is preferred

  • Minimum five years of progressive experience in security, safety or risk management, including previous leadership responsibility, ideally within luxury hospitality or another high-service environment

  • Demonstrated experience in physical security, incident management, investigations, emergency preparedness and crisis response

  • Strong knowledge of access control, CCTV, alarm and other physical security systems

  • Excellent judgement, discretion and problem-solving skills, with confidence handling sensitive and high-pressure situations

  • Strong communication, reporting and training skills; experience working with law enforcement, emergency services and external security providers

  • Fluent English and German and/or French; additional languages are advantageous

  • Valid driving licence; First Aid/CPR, Health & Safety, fire safety or recognised security certifications are advantageous

  • In accordance with Swiss employment regulations, only candidates holding Swiss or EU/EFTA citizenship, or a valid Swiss work authorization, can be considered for this position
