Job Description

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE

Working under general supervision on defined work assignments and/or usually following established procedures/manuals, supports and maintains security systems. Using established concepts, knowledge and procedures, performs assignments of basic scope and complexity. Refers to procedures, manuals or peers for guidance. Accountable for obtaining all pertinent knowledge and training to competently perform the tasks and to alert supervisor when assistance is needed. Also, accountable for timely delivery of assigned portions of program work. Work is reviewed in progress for soundness of judgment and overall adequacy/accuracy.

Internal: Communicates with all levels of management to ensure best practice operations procedures, etc. Work in partnership with the IT leadership while ensuring alignment with the overall IT strategy and vision. Works with local information technology sections to coordinate project activities. Confers with customer organization managers to coordinate services and technical direction. Establishes the working relationships both among personnel in the group and with the efforts that are being supported. Acts as mentor to less experienced subordinate staff to develop solutions and resolve problems that could impact the department's budgets or commitments.

External: Interacts, leads, and partners externally with major service providers/vendors to ensure continued adequate and reliable support services, an understanding of technology, and to contribute specific technical expertise.

Perform access administration and account provisioning and deprovisioning.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Essential Functions: Number and list the significant/essential duties, tasks or responsibilities which employees in this position are actually required to perform.

• The Global Access Administration (GAA) organization has a global charter that is principally responsible for ensuring proper control of access to Abbott IT and data assets for enterprise computer platforms and applications on a global, regional, divisional and local basis.

• Fulfil approved requests for access, recertification per user request and Abbott security policies.

• Deliver day to day support and administration of security components of Abbott Global Information System (IS) systems.

• Provision, modify and de-provision accounts to end users, enabling them to access IT-Systems in scope of GAA.

• Provide support (by e-mail and telephone) to end users to resolve access control incidents.

• Detect and report incidents and problems encountered during performing the primary task, and contribute to resolve these.

• Deliver Access Administration services according agreed Service levels (in terms of quality, time and money).

• Identify operational technical and process issues and recommend improvements Assists in audits of security access control on above listed systems.

• Assists in re-certification efforts.

• Possibly consignation support services or standby services.

• Other Duties: Number and list any important but non-essential and/or infrequent duties performed.

• Remains current on developments in field(s) of expertise, regulatory requirements, a general knowledge of the company's products, markets, and objectives as well as industry trends. Maintains current knowledge of and ability to assess new technology to collaborate with IT customers and deploy solutions that are creative, compliant and cost-effective through literature, trade journals, professional associations, and by attending conferences/seminars.

• Resolves and/or facilitates resolution of problems including identifying causes to prevent re-occurrence. Identifies and resolves business issues; escalate issues when appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

Diploma or Degree in a relevant field with relevant experience. Those without the academic qualifications but with relevant experience or with relevant academic qualifications but without relevant experience will also be considered.
