The Securitized Products Research Analyst will focus primarily on analyzing Residential and Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS/RMBS/CMBS) and Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). This role involves modeling and analysis of various datasets, contributing to research reports, and servicing institutional clients. Key tasks include analyzing prepayment/default trends for various mortgage products, recommending relative value trades, monitoring ownership structure of various sectors, monitoring policy developments, and analyzing corporate credit and leveraged loans.

Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:

  • Skills, Experience, Qualifications and Knowledge Required:
  • 1 – 3 years of industry experience
  • Quantitative undergraduate degree, including a background in engineering, mathematics, quantitative economics, or data science and some programming ability
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Some experience in fixed income analysis and/or finance helpful but not required
  • Familiarity with any database/statistically oriented programming language (e.g. Python, R, SQL) and AI tools
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • High level of intellectual curiosity and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in-person full-time in our NYC office

* base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, corporate and functional title and duties, job-related knowledge and advanced degrees, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
