About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Securities Operations Associate to play a key role in supporting the end-to-end trade and settlement lifecycle for securities transactions. You will work in a dynamic operations environment focused on ensuring accurate trade processing, timely settlements, and effective risk management. This role offers the opportunity to build expertise in global markets operations, collaborate with diverse stakeholders, and contribute to the efficient functioning of Wells Fargo's securities business.

In this role, you will:

  • Support routine trade lifecycle activities, including trade validation, processing, settlement, and reconciliation, by following established procedures
  • Monitor daily securities and cash transactions and help ensure accurate and timely settlement
  • Review and resolve low-complexity trade and settlement exceptions within defined guidelines, escalating issues when appropriate
  • Research transaction details and gather information to support the resolution of operational issues
  • Perform reconciliations and identify basic discrepancies in securities positions, cash balances, and general ledger records
  • Develop knowledge of securities operations processes, including custodial operations, funding, cash payments, client account onboarding, and settlement services
  • Review time-sensitive trade documents and transaction requests for completeness and accuracy
  • Collaborate with colleagues, managers, internal partners, and external customers to resolve routine operational issues
  • Support process improvements and implementation of updated procedures within a defined area of responsibility
  • Maintain established operational controls and help identify low-complexity risks or service improvement opportunities

Required Qualifications:

  • 6+ months of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 6+ months of experience in securities trade processing, trade support, or related operations activities
  • 6+ months of experience in securities settlement and post-trade operations
  • 6+ months of experience supporting the trade lifecycle, including trade capture, validation, settlement, reconciliation, or exception management
  • 6+ months of experience working with securities products such as Mutual Funds, Fixed Income, or related investment products
  • Experience reviewing and processing time-sensitive transactions while adhering to established operational controls and procedures

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with custodial operations, cash management, or post-trade operations functions
  • Exposure to industry utilities, settlement platforms, or investment operations systems
  • Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven operations environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, reporting, and reconciliation activities

Job Expectations:

  • Ability to work a shift schedule of 5:30 PM to 2:30 AM IST.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid work environment, adhering to Wells Fargo's in-office attendance requirements and team schedules.
