The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the operations - Transaction Services team. The overall objective of this role is to assist in the clearance, settlement and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.
Responsibilities:
Provide analytical and administrative support to Front Office Sales and Trading specifically related to FX business
Supporting lifecycle activities such as Trade Aggregation, Allocation, Cancel Rebooks, Matching, Early pickup / Utilization, Rollovers etc. and interaction with Business, Firm’s Clients, Operations and Technology to manage post execution issues.
Perform control functions based on intermediary processing systems and records
Complete daily tasks accurately and on time.
Ensure the desk is always in compliant with internal and external regulations
Manage, escalate and resolve all requests / inquiries / issues / errors and identify policy gaps
Willingness to cross train across teams
Assist Team Lead in all their duties as required
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications and Skills:
1-2 years relevant experience preferred; freshers will do.
Fundamental understanding of FX products, trade lifecycle management, and related operational risks
Team oriented personality, thrives in a team environment and can also work independently
Self-motivation, flexibility, and a strong desire to succeed
Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience preferred
