As a Securities-Based Lending Associate at JPMorganChase within the Asset and Wealth Management Securities-Based Lending team, you will support the day-to-day credit and operational processes that enable secured lending backed by liquid marketable securities. You will help review new and amended requests, prepare and coordinate documentation, and support ongoing portfolio management by identifying and resolving exceptions within established timeframes.

Job responsibilities

  • Analyze new and amended credit requests for policy adherence, completeness, and quality within target turnaround times
  • Prepare borrower and collateral analyses to support a well-documented credit risk assessment
  • Coordinate with internal partners across relationship, credit, and legal teams to support appropriate structures and timely execution
  • Generate, review, and deliver lending documentation and required credit materials
  • Monitor portfolios for exceptions and potential credit issues, escalating appropriately and driving resolution
  • Resolve exception items including under-margin events, past-due activity, transactional issues, and documentation gaps
  • Maintain accurate, organized records to support auditability, reporting, and ongoing portfolio oversight
  • Contribute to process improvements that strengthen controls, reduce risk, and improve the client and partner experience

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Fluency (written and spoken) in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant business experience in a similar role
  • Experience with, or a working understanding of, credit risk and lending analysis concepts
  • Ability to assess collateral and lending value considerations and document conclusions clearly
  • Understanding of credit regulations and lending documentation concepts, with attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across teams
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and time-sensitive deadlines
  • Team-oriented approach with a consistent focus on accuracy, control, and follow-through

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • Experience supporting secured lending products backed by marketable securities
  • Experience reviewing or coordinating loan documentation, amendments, and related legal workflows
  • Experience identifying and resolving portfolio exceptions within defined service-level expectations
  • Familiarity with derivative-related concepts in a secured lending context (as applicable)
  • Proficiency with standard productivity tools and ability to learn new systems quickly
