Are You Ready to Lead a World-Class Chocolate Production?

Marabou is one of Sweden's most beloved chocolate brands and part of Mondelēz International — a global snacking leader with iconic brands such as Oreo, Toblerone, and Milka.

We are now looking for a Section/Production Manager to lead one of our two production sections at our Marabou site in Upplands Väsby, Sweden. This is a senior, complex leadership role where safety, quality, and efficiency are top of mind — every single day. A role to drive change and efficiency together as a team.

You will report directly to the Plant Director and be responsible for driving operational excellence across your section. Several managers and different functions report to this role, making this a role with significant breadth and impact. The direct reports is a team of less than ten managers and the total section is between 60-80 employees.

How You Will Contribute

You will:

  • Lead a high-performing production section — take full ownership of Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Morale (SQCDSM) targets for your area, ensuring alignment with site and business objectives.
  • Drive operational excellence— embed a zero-loss mindset and continuous improvement culture across your teams. Analyze performance data and KPIs to drive profitability.
  • Build and develop your team — foster a growth mindset and build capability at all levels to create self-sufficient, empowered teams.
  • Manage shift-based production operations — ensure stable, reliable operations across shifts, with clear governance, escalation routines, and performance management in place.
  • Own budget and resource planning — take accountability for your section's budget, driving cost-effectiveness while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance and standards — uphold all manufacturing standards including food safety, GMP, health & safety, environmental requirements, and internal policies. Ensure these are understood, implemented, and regularly reviewed.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally — partner with maintenance, supply chain, quality, HR, and other functions to deliver on shared goals.
  • Drive transformation and change — support the implementation of modern manufacturing practices, digital tools, and organizational development to future-proof the operation together with the organization.

What You Will Bring

Required

  • MSc in Engineering, Food Science or other relevant education e.g. within finance
  • Minimum 5 years of production line experience in a manufacturing and/or production planning environment
  • Proven leadership experience, preferably leading other managers/leaders, excellent communication skills and productive collaborations
  • Growth mindset — a genuine drive to develop yourself, your team, and the operation
  • Budget management experience — comfortable owning P&L or cost targets for a production area
  • Fluent in English and Swedish (spoken and written)

Preferred

  • Experience in the food/FMCG/CPG industry
  • Experience working with unions and employee relations
  • Familiarity with shift-based production environments (24/7 or similar)
  • Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Six Sigma
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Project management experience
  • Experience driving cultural and organizational change

What We Offer

  • A senior leadership role at one of Sweden's most iconic production sites
