Casual Section Waiter – Grana

About the Role

Grana is looking for an experienced and engaging Casual Section Waiter to join our front-of-house team.

Located within the historic Hinchcliff House, Grana is a lively Italian-inspired restaurant known for warm hospitality, quality produce and a relaxed yet polished dining experience.

As a Section Waiter, you will take ownership of your section, build genuine connections with guests and deliver attentive, knowledgeable service throughout their experience. This casual role would suit someone who thrives in a busy restaurant environment and takes pride in creating memorable moments for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Manage your section confidently and efficiently throughout service
• Welcome guests and provide warm, attentive hospitality
• Take food and beverage orders accurately
• Demonstrate strong menu and beverage knowledge
• Provide considered recommendations and guide the guest experience
• Ensure food and beverages are delivered promptly and presented correctly
• Maintain clean, organised and well-prepared tables and service areas
• Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar and wider front-of-house team
• Respond professionally to guest requests and observations
• Follow all food safety, responsible service and workplace health and safety requirements

About You

• Previous experience as a Section Waiter in a busy restaurant environment
• Confidence managing a section and maintaining high service standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Genuine interest in Italian food, wine and hospitality
• Ability to remain calm, organised and attentive during busy services
• A positive and collaborative approach to teamwork
• Strong attention to detail
• Flexible availability across evenings, weekends and public holidays
• A current NSW RSA
