Job Description

Bosch has been present in Malaysia since 1923, represented by Robert Bosch Sdn Bhd, with offices located in Selangor and Penang. In Malaysia, Bosch has diversified businesses in Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology. Machine Conceptualization & Implementation

  • Design and conceptualize new machines with optimal automation levels, cost structures, and alignment to customer requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through machine development, testing, and validation phases.
  • Oversee and support PLC programming and integration during machine development and commissioning.
  • Ensure successful implementation and stabilization of machines before structured handover to the maintenance section.

Automation

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive automation roadmap aligned with business goals and technological trends.
  • Ensure execution of automation initiatives with clear ROI targets and performance metrics.

Continuous Improvement & Innovation

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement across technical operations.
  • Apply lean principles and other methodologies to optimize processes and reduce waste.
  • Drive new technological developments such as Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Generative AI, and other emerging technologies.

Benchmarking & Technology Scouting

  • Conduct regular benchmarking with international sister plants and industry peers to identify best practices and performance gaps.
  • Stay abreast of state-of-the-art technologies and assess their applicability to current and future operations.
  • Collaborate with R&D, suppliers, and academic institutions to explore innovative solutions.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing TEF team.
  • Promote open communication, ownership, and accountability within the team.
  • Ensure alignment of team goals with organizational strategy and customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in automation, machine development, and digital transformation.
  • Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English.
  • Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
