Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manages Core Banking & Cards systems which are mission critical systems in the bank.
  • Manages local and cross border services delivery and ensure it meets SLA and KPI which includes service improvement, recovery and resolution
  • Manages risks related matters associated to the applications under the portfolio
  • Stakeholder management – reporting to senior management on health of service delivery, application risks status, deliverables and progress updates
  • Works closely with management and counterparts in Singapore as part of delivery
  • Manages business units’ key stakeholders in terms of service delivery, key issues and expectation
  • Manages and monitor service delivery and performance of various vendors
  • Manages contracts and financial matters of applications under the portfolio
  • Plan, implement and monitor departmental budgets, ensuring budget are achieved together with cost savings target
  • Plan and implement cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives as well as improving productivity
  • Plan development of individual skills to support current and future departmental objectives cum direction
  • People management – Manage resources and recruitment, manage and review team performance including performance appraisals

Requirements:

  • Degree in Computer Science/ IT or related fields
  • Preferably at least 10 years of working experience in IT
  • Minimum 5 years of working experience in managing and leading a team of at least 15 people in the capacity detailed above
  • Experienced and ability to act & manage on 24x7 basis when there is an escalation on critical production issues
  • Demonstrates leadership quality and positive mindset of growing and motivating the team, service improvement and result/deliverables-based
  • Knowledge of Core Banking and Cards systems are required preferably in Silverlake Integrated Banking System (SIBS) system.
  • Pleasant personality with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge in Banking IT environment and experience in managing mission critical applications will be a plus.
