About the role

Reporting to the Manager, Interior Engineering, you will lead a team responsible for Paint & Placard Engineering across Bombardier’s product portfolio. You will ensure that customer requests are evaluated and implemented in accordance with certification requirements, working closely with your engineering team and external partners.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Lead the Paint & Placard Engineering team responsible for customer request integration, certification compliance, and production support for the Challenger and Global platforms.
  • Ensure the quality and timely delivery of all engineering deliverables produced by the team.
  • Support change management processes, including PCR, RFC, NOC, and MOPPI activities.
  • Manage team priorities and alignment across Operations, Detailed Design, Projects, Programs, and technical functions.
  • Set annual objectives and lead continuous improvement initiatives for the team.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations including PMP/PDP reviews, salary assessments, and career progression discussions.
  • Maintain workload forecasting and resource planning to support program needs.
  • Coach and support employees to foster technical growth, engagement, and team cohesion.

How to thrive in this role?

  • You hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, with a minimum of ten (10) years of aerospace experience.
  • You have experience in interior completions and/or manufacturing operations.
  • You are knowledgeable in interior completion design and engineering change management processes.
  • You demonstrate strong leadership behaviors, prioritizing team success, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • You are a proactive team player with a positive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • You excel in fast paced, dynamic environments and enjoy tackling complex challenges.
  • You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on results and operational efficiency.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling you to influence and build consensus across functions without formal authority.
  • You are fluent in English and French.
