ELKHART COUNTY GOVERNMENTAL POSITION VACANCY NOTICE

SECRETARY

DEPARTMENT: Treasurer's Office

HIRING RANGE: $20.47-$22.74/hour based on education and position related experience. Longevity pay after 3 years.

POSITION TO BE FILLED: ASAP

HOURS & DAYS OF WORK: Monday 8 - 5 p.m.; Tuesday - Friday 8 - 4 p.m.

LOCATION OF POSITION: Goshen Administration Building

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: None

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for researching and completing property tax clearances, collecting and posting tax payments, maintaining a record thereof, and notifying relevant entities regarding their accounts payable and receivable.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Working knowledge of the Indiana Code and state lists
• Ability to provide public access to, or maintain confidentiality of, department information and records according to State requirements
• Excellent organizational and communications skills and a sound knowledge of office

procedures/practices; proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Pre-employment background check
